Soprano Emily Pogorelc will take the stage as Pamina in the highly anticipated new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Mozartwoche 2026, celebrating both the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth and the 70th anniversary of the festival.
This special production, directed by the acclaimed Rolando Villazón, promises to be a landmark event in the world of opera. With the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg conducted by Roberto González-Monjas, audiences will be treated to a magical interpretation of Mozart’s most beloved opera. Alongside Pogorelc’s portrayal of Pamina, the star-studded cast will feature Kathryn Lewek as the Queen of the Night and Franz-Josef Selig as Sarastro.
